What Are the Contests?

  • $50,000 Contest: To be eligible to win the $50,000 prize, one entrant must correctly guess all 60 or more of the possible 63 matchups. If more than one contestant picks 60 or more of the possible 63 games correctly, the $50,000 prize will be divided among the winning contestants. A maximum of one (1) $50,000 prize will be awarded. If no submitted entry contains sixty (60) winners or more in the Men’s 2016 NCAA® Basketball Championship Tournament, then no $50,000 prize will be awarded. Grand prize is provided courtesy of SafetyNet Promotions.
  • $5,000 Contest: To be eligible to win the $5,000 prize, one entrant must correctly guess 55 to 59 of the possible 63 matchups. If more than one contestant picks 55 to 59 of the possible 63 games correctly, the $5,000 prize will be divided among the winning contestants. A maximum of one (1) $5,000 prize will be awarded. If no submitted entry contains fifty-five (55) to fifty-nine (59) winners in the Men’s 2016 NCAA® Basketball Championship Tournament, then no $5,000 prize will be awarded.   • $1,000 Contest: To be eligible to win the $1,000 prize, one entrant must correctly predict each team to advance to the Sweet 16. If more than one contestant correctly predicts each team to advance to the Sweet 16, the $1,000 prize will be divided among the winning contestants. A maximum of one (1) $1,000 prize will be awarded. If no submitted entry correctly predicts each team to advance to the Sweet 16 in the Men’s 2016 NCAA® Basketball Championship Tournament, then no $1,000 prize will be awarded. Grand prize is provided courtesy of SafetyNet Promotions.
  • 1st Prize: The contestant with the best score after all rounds of play receives an Apple Watch.
  • Random Prizes: Ten (10) contestants will be drawn randomly, each receiving a $25 Gas Card.

How do I score points?

Overall Contest - Points for correct picks: (total points possible: 168).

  • Round 2: 1 pt, 
  • Round 3: 2 pts, 
  • Reg Semis: 4 pts, 
  • Reg Finals: 8 pts, 
  • Semis: 12 pts, 
  • Final: 16 pts.

If needed, total combined score of the championship game will be used as the tie breaker. In this scenario, the tied contestant closest to the combined total score will be determined the winner. If there is still a tie, the tied contestant closest to the combined total score without going over the actual combined total score will be determined the winner. If there is still no winner, one winner will be drawn randomly from the pool of tied players.
