5 common questions answered
NHTSA reports two recall concerns for the 2018 Ford Taurus. A rear suspension toe link may fracture under stress, which can cause a sudden change in handling and raise crash risk. On certain vehicles with mechanical key ignition systems, the key may come out when the transmission is not in PARK; without the parking brake applied, the vehicle could roll away. Waiting can leave a safety defect unresolved, especially when you have received a notice or are unsure about prior repair history. A VIN check helps identify whether either remedy remains open so you can take the appropriate next step with confidence.
