5 common questions answered
NHTSA recall information identifies four safety concerns for the 2018 Ford Edge. A torque converter problem may cause loss of vehicle movement, while unsecured alternator and starter cables may create an electrical arc and increase fire risk. Short door striker bolts may allow a door to open during a crash, and front brake hoses may rupture, causing a fluid leak and longer stopping distances. Waiting can leave a known safety concern unresolved. Because these conditions involve movement, fire, door retention, and braking, owners should arrange a VIN check and address any open recall as soon as possible.
