NHTSA identifies two recall concerns associated with the 2016 Ford Taurus. In certain vehicles with the Police Interceptor or SHO Performance Pack, rear suspension toe links may fracture from stress, potentially causing a sudden change in handling and increasing crash risk. Certain Taurus vehicles with the 3.5L GTDI engine may also have turbocharger oil supply tubes that leak oil onto engine components, increasing the risk of fire if oil reaches an ignition source.
