Who says you need a German sedan if you want high performance and excellent handling from a sport sedan? Yesterday, Ford issued a press release announcing that it has the answer for those looking for the ultimate sports sedan without the associated inflated price tag.

Under the hood, Fusion V6 Sport packs a serious punch with a 2.7-liter twin-turbocharged EcoBoost power plant that delivers more than 320 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque, more than established high-priced performance sedans such as the BMW 535i, Audi A6 3.0T, and Mercedes-Benz E400. Want great handling? Fusion V6 Sport comes standard with all-wheel drive and offers an advanced, computer-controlled suspension system with class-exclusive pothole mitigation technology.

“Since the newest-generation Fusion launched in 2012, midsize car buyers have been asking for a performance version. It’s not just Fusion buyers who want something hotter,” says Wade Jackson, Ford Fusion marketing manager. “Owners of other midsize sedans, along with our own dealers, ask repeatedly...These consumers also crave a car that’s much more distinctive inside and out. Cross-shoppers will be shocked by the bang for the buck our new Fusion Sport delivers."

The all-new Fusion V6 Sport is set to roll into dealerships at the end of the summer.
